At Faith Bible Church, we recognize that the special needs community spans all age groups. We also recognize that many people who care for a loved one with special needs may have found it difficult to attend Sunday services or other church events on a regular basis. Joyful Blessings Ministry has been designed to help individuals with disabilities and their families and caregivers grow in God’s grace and experience the connection and fellowship of a church family.
For those children, teens, and adults who benefit from an environment modified to meet their special needs, Joyful Blessings Ministry has a classroom on the first floor of the church that has been designed with them in mind. Teachers and volunteers guide these students in a program that has been tailored to communicate to them at their levels of understanding. We use a multi-sensory approach to teaching the Bible.
For children, teens, and adults who are able to attend regular morning services and/or classes, but would benefit from having one-on-one assistance, Joyful Blessings Ministry offers volunteers who accompany them and offer help as they need it. These shepherds enable them to experience classes and services with an added measure of assurance.
The teaching staff of Joyful Blessings Ministry is happy to help families determine whether attending the Joyful Blessings class or participating in classes/services with the help of a shepherd is best for their loved one.
- God made me just the way He wants me.
- Jesus died for my sins.
- There will always be a place for me at church.
In addition to taking care of our students, the Joyful Blessings Ministry team takes special interest in extending love and care to their families and caregivers as well. From support meetings to times of food and fellowship, we offer a place of compassion and grace for those individuals and families who have special needs.
