We want to make an eternal difference in our local community for Jesus. Our Local Outreach Ministry is dedicated to serving our neighbors in ways that utilize volunteers and other resources to meet their spiritual and physical needs.
We partner with established local ministries and agencies to maximize the impact for the gospel. Below are some of the ways we are having impact and a list of the local ministries we are partnering with.
- Angel Reach-helping abused and neglected children by promoting placement in safe, stable, and permanent home environments. For more details contact Joe & Alice Callison: joecallison@comcast.net or visit the Angel Reach site: www.angelreach.org
- Apartment Outreach Team-We are forming a team of folks who have a passion and burden to share the gospel and minister to the needs of residents in a local apartment complex. To join this team or find out more contact Ethan Collins: ecollins@faithbibleonline.org
- Car Care. Volunteers change oil and service cars of primarily single parent families once per quarter. We are entering our 9th year of Car Care and the outreach is open to any single mom in the community that needs an oil change. Christian Brother’s Automotive provides the facility, the oil, and the filters to accomplish this service. We also vacuum and wash the cars. Car Care has over 50 volunteers that make this outreach successful. Cars are also inspected to ensure there are no safety related issues that need to be addressed. If a safety issue is discovered, Car Care will work with the mom in cooperation with local repair shops to repair their auto at a discounted rate.
