“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver” (Prov. 25:11, ESV)

We are pleased to introduce this exciting new mentoring program to our Faith Bible Women’s Ministries! This is a program called Apples of Gold and is based on scripture in Titus 2.

“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live…to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children…so that no one will malign the word of God.” -Titus 2:3-5

Apples of Gold is designed specifically for mentoring young(ish) married women in God’s design for creating a godly home. Sessions consist of Bible studies based on Titus 2:3-5, learning practical skills of hospitality and cooking through demonstrations and shared meals. A team of mentors meets with a small group of younger women in a private home to encourage them to be the women God has called them to be. There will be six weekly sessions which will be held in the evenings. The Spring Series has already begun, but if you are interested in the Fall or a future series, contact Jennifer Morris at  kevinandjennmorris@gmail.com, or Anne Addcox at anne.addcox@gmail.com. More information about the Apples of Gold program in general can be found at their website - http://www.applesofgold.org/.

Faith Bible Women’s Ministry

“Grow Where You’re Planted” is the vision God planted in my heart for our women’s ministry this year. Last year we talked about “On the Surest Path” – about being purposeful, trusting in each step God places before us and following Him. Here at Faith Bible, we consider ourselves a family on a journey and I believe growing where you’re planted is part of that journey and requires a reliance on our Pathmaker God. Being wholly at His mercy and relying on Him totally for support. As we travel together, let us remember that His Word is the richest soil in which we could ever be planted.
                                                                            Growing in Him,
                                                                            Mandy Kelly
                                                                            Director, Faith Bible Women

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”   Proverbs 3:5-6

This ministry belongs to God and there is a place in it just for you.  Please look around the page to see where you can connect, or go to our leadership page and send any of our leadership team an e-mail so that we can connect with you. Our mission is to know Him and make Him known by demonstrating His love and grace, being obedient to His will, and sharing the truth – God’s word.

Look for the FBC sign on the table.
  • Mom & Me (& Dad too) - Our blueberry picking event at Moorhead Blueberry Farm (which was scheduled for Monday, May 27) has been postponed because the blueberries are not ripe enough for picking and the farm is not open yet. Recent Events

Faith Bible Women have already had a busy 2013! We started off with the Fashion Show and Luncheon in January, followed by a Valentine’s Luncheon and our Women’s Retreat in February. We’ve also had several fun Mom & Me events, as well as an evening of fellowship at LIFT which included tips on creating freezer meals. Add to that weekly Bible study, biweekly Sewing Seeds gatherings, and monthly coffee at Starbucks, and it all adds up to a very full schedule with something for EVERYONE!

Fashion Show and Luncheon

In January, Faith Bible Women enjoyed fabulous food and fashion at our annual Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Palmer Golf Course. Our own Janeu Houston was the featured speaker, and she did not disappoint! As we all expected, Janeu shared her own unique perspective of our Magnificent God and gave us much “food” for thought.  And, of course, the models and clothes were all lovely! Thank you to Betty Chandler and her wonderful team for a lovely event.

Valentine Luncheon

Our Valentine luncheon was a “sweet” time of fellowship for all of the ladies who attended. We enjoyed yummy food from Eden Cafe as well as homemade treats from some of our own “sweet” ladies! Thanks to Jenn Morris and her team of Kim Hull, Anne Addcox, and Dayna Riley for all of their hard work.

Women’s Retreat

Faith Bible Women “retreated” to Camp Cho Yeh in mid-February, and what a retreat it was! From the weather (Perfect!) to the speaker (Inspiring!) to the food (Awesome!) our prayers for the weekend were answered in a powerful way. Speaker Cherie Foster Colburn was everything we hoped for and more as she gave us intriguing insights into plant growth in God’s creation, and how that correlates to our own spiritual growth.

Our women also enjoyed activities including kickball, high ropes/zipline, campfire with s’mores, and lots of time just to relax and fellowship. It was most exciting to see so many new faces and we look forward to seeing you at more events. Special thanks to Sonya Kerr and her planning and worship teams. GREAT JOB ladies!
