Our purpose in Pursuit Student Ministries is to guide our students in the grace of Jesus Christ and knowledge of His truth. Because genuine grace and truth are only found in Jesus, we make Him and His Word the focus of all we do. Students in today’s world face many challenges and struggles, and we desire to walk alongside them and to assist you as parents in centering your family on Christ.
We know that it can be very difficult for a new student to begin attending our student activities, so we have several activities are offered to help students connect with each other and grow in their relationship with Christ. We do our best to help your student feel welcome and connect with others in the group.
Refresh – This is our Sunday morning time of teaching and worship for all students 7th through 12th grades. We begin in the gym welcoming one another with a time of connection and then move into the youth room to focus on God through worship and His Word. We always have a group of students at the welcome table on Sunday mornings ready to help students get connected. Students are encouraged to attend the second church service at 10:40.Sundays from 9:00-10:20am
Retro – Sunday evening fellowship, teaching and small groups for our 7th and 8th grade students. This time is led by none other than Ryan Jasper and many fantastic adults. The purpose of this time is to connect these students with one another and get into the Word with students their age. Sundays from 6:30-8:00pm
Pursuit Teams – Small groups for students in grades 9th-12th, divided by grade and gender. Often called P-Teams, these groups provide an opportunity for mentoring by an adult in a small, safe setting. These groups are vital in strengthening students to combat the negative peer pressure they constantly face. Sunday evenings – times vary.
